Ethical Brand respects your privacy and is committed to protecting any personal information that you choose to share with us. This policy describes how we collect and use that information. You may browse our website without giving us any personal information about yourself. When we do require personal information from you it is generally to assure the integrity of our service.

All contributions of feedback, personal opinions, suggestions, anecdotes and or accounts of your experiences, which you choose to submit to us, either directly or via any collection point that is licensed to use the Ethical Brand Identity™ represents a contribution to our research. You make this contribution on a quid quo pro basis, which is to say you acknowledge that the purpose for which the information is being collected is likely to benefit you, either directly or indirectly. We may request personal information and use this to validate your contribution. However, neither the fact that you have participated in our research, nor any personal information that may be used to identify you is ever passed to any third party without your express permission to do so.

For security purposes we log your IP (internet protocol) address – that is the Internet address of your computer. Your access and use of our website, including certain areas that may require registration, a login and a password, including any information or programs you choose to access and or download in those areas, are governed by our Terms of Use and may also be the subject of further agreement between you and or your employer and or other associated and or affiliated entities including Ethical Brand. Your personal information may be retained by Ethical Brand to verify compliance with any of these.

All Ethical Brand data is stored and controlled on servers with limited access. Your information may be stored and processed in the United Kingdom, United States, Australia and or any other country where an Ethical Brand branch office, partner, affiliate, associate, agent, service provider and or subsidiary is located.

Research

We reserve the right to contact you at any time for research purposes, but you are not ordinarily obliged to participate in this. You may be obliged to participate in certain types of research at particular intervals if you are subscribed to a particular product or service that sets this out as a condition of service. If you are subscribed to Ethical Brand by a Sponsor then you may be obliged to participate in some research activities and results may be reported to your Sponsor. However, in any event and under no circumstances will the results of any research that you have participated in, identify you personally.

Direct Marketing

We do not use your information to send you direct marketing information about our products and services, unless you have specifically indicated your desire to receive this type of communication from us.

Disclosure

Generally speaking we will never share your personal information with any third party without your permission. These are the only exceptions to this. When we have your consent to share the information in order to provide a product or service you have requested and an organisation has been contracted by us to provide a service in that respect, then we will only provide those companies the information they need to perform that service and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose. Account Closure

When an account is closed the information associated with it will not be deleted for so long as any agreement binding you to Ethical Brand remains in force and effect. This also allows us to prevent the re-use of your user identity, email and or other relevant login information.

Ethical Brand makes every reasonable effort to safeguard the security of the data you provide to us with physical, electronic, and managerial procedures. Your Ethical Brand account information is password-protected for your privacy and security and accessible using industry-standard SSL-encryption to enhance the security of data transmissions. While we strive to protect your personal information and opinions, we cannot absolutely ensure the security of the information you transmit to us, and so we encourage you to take precautions to protect your personal data whenever and wherever you are on the internet. Children and Privacy
